Wes Moore for Maryland

Hi John, it’s Wes.

I am going to ask you to make an online contribution to my campaign. Please give me a chance to explain:

In two weeks, the 446th session of the General Assembly will meet here in Annapolis — and from January 10 until April 8, my team will be prohibited under Maryland election law from any and all fundraising. (We call it “the freeze”.)

Listen, I can’t wait to get into session and start getting more done for Marylanders — but there are a few important reasons why I'm asking you to chip in now, and kick off a big push to raise $10,000 before the new year.

Chip in now…because for every year I’m in office, we’re only able to fundraise for 75% of the year. That’s going to be a BIG obstacle the closer we get to a re-election fight, so it’s really important to hit our pre-freeze goal this week.

Chip in now...to show your support ahead of our next legislative session! Last year, the Moore-Miller administration passed 10 out of 10 of our legislative packages. This year, we’re going to keep leading the way and passing policies to help Maryland families thrive. Your support will help make it happen.

Finally, chip in now…if you believe this really is Maryland’s decade. Just like we’re passing laws now that will improve Marylanders’ lives for the next ten years, we’re working to raise grassroots resources now to be ready for the long haul. This isn’t a moment, after all — it’s a movement.

We need to raise $10,000 before midnight on December 31st to be ready for the freeze. If you can, I’m asking you to make a contribution today.

I don’t expect you to give to every email we send, or even most of them, but I do hope you will contribute today if you’re able to. Trust that I’m humbled and grateful by every person who’s willing to invest in our work.

Elevate,

Wes
