Dear Reader,
Besides the top races, many voters don’t know who or what is on their ballot and don’t have an easy way to find out. At Ballotpedia, we are working to change that. Instead of using convoluted websites just to find out what district you’re in, what races are up for election, and what a “yes” vote on that ballot measure would mean, we have the one-stop-shop… Ballotpedia’s Sample Ballot Lookup Tool.
The sample ballot lookup tool allows users to compare candidates side by side, click through to more information and view explainer articles on public policy, view the candidate's survey response, and understand ballot measures. The Sample Ballot Lookup Tool gives voters the information needed to cast an informed vote at the polls. From presidential races to school board elections—and all the state ballot measures in between—our sample ballot shows voters what’s on the ballot at their registered address.
More and more voters are recognizing this invaluable civic service that Ballotpedia provides. In 2023, nearly 1.5 million voters used our Sample Ballot Lookup Tool (compared to less than 1 million people in 2021) to become informed about the candidates and issues they would see at the polls.
When voters use the Sample Ballot Lookup Tool, they receive the trustworthy, accurate, and reliable information Ballotpedia is known to provide to make a choice based on their values about the issues and races that immediately affect their lives.
Your support allows us to help even more voters understand who and what is going to be on their ballot.
Best,
Leslie Graves
