Dear John, Eight years after anti-immigration policy became the central campaign promise of Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign, our politicians continue to demonize immigrant communities and spread disinformation every day.
These continuous political attacks make a real impact on immigrants’ lives, from the influence they have on policy to the harm created as immigrants seek to find acceptance and thrive in our communities.
Will you help us push back against disinformation and change the narrative around immigration? Please donate now to help us reach our ambitious, $130,000 year-end
goal — and your gift will be DOUBLED.

As we enter the final year of the election cycle, the Council is committed to ramping up our efforts to promote truthful, positive narratives about immigration — from publishing rigorous research to collecting and promoting immigrants’ stories and contributing to national and local media across the country.
Make your tax-deductible, year end gift now while every $25 you give will be doubled to $50. Every $75 will turn into $150. And every $250 becomes $500.
Throughout this past year, as the election cycle progressed and political attacks on immigration increased, the Council has worked hard to promote honest, positive narratives.
When you give today to help us reach our $130,000 year-end goal, you are supporting the achievements of our storytelling, research, and communications teams — which just this past year have included:
|
-
Placing 76 op-eds in newspapers across the country by Dreamers, refugees, healthcare professionals, farmers, and others who worked with our storytelling team to get their voice to the public.
- Contributing to more than 2,700 news stories in national and local media outlets from The Washington Post and Telemundo to the Houston Chronicle and The Hill.
- Exposing restrictive immigration policies through Freedom of Information Act requests, including our report on ICE’s failure to follow the government’s enforcement priorities — resulting in more than 35% of enforcement actions being taken against individuals who did not fall under priorities.
-
Publishing nearly 100 pieces of independent journalism on our nationally recognized Immigration Impact blog, which reaches key audiences including policymakers, lawyers, and nonprofit leaders.
-
Releasing our groundbreaking “Beyond a Border Solution” report, advocating to focus the debate on the border around our 13 solutions for a flexible, orderly, and durable asylum system.
