Dear Supporter,

There is something magical about the holidays. Despite our cold Idaho winters, Christmas is warmed by good cocoa and well-stoked fires surrounded by the people we love.

However, if your family is anything like mine, December is stressful. Idahoans this season are pinching pennies, balancing budgets, and wondering how to manage the bills as the cost of living skyrockets and our kids' Christmas wish lists – and ours – get more expensive.

So here’s the question… What do you want for Christmas?

I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m not Santa Claus. While I can’t fulfill the wishes for hoverboards, iPhones, and VR headsets on your children’s list, I am working on another wishlist.

I have spent the last year and a half listening to what Idahoans really want: to afford rent, have access to healthcare that doesn’t break the bank, and for their children to be well-educated and have limitless opportunities to achieve the American dream. They want their communities to be safe and the chance to retire comfortably and spend time doing the things they love.

The Idaho I’m fighting for, the Idaho I’m representing, was kinder; it cared less about enforcing shared ideologies, lifestyles, and beliefs and more about valuing integrity, respect, and showing up for your neighbors.

At the top of my Christmas list is for you to join our team. We are a community of individuals in every corner of Idaho who are building a better future. Can you lend a hand by donating $10/month or volunteering?

This Christmas, I am feeling sentimental—seeing Idaho's snow-capped mountains, Christmas lights, and families gathered around the table inspires an optimism that is harder to find the rest of the year. I want that optimism to ring true all year round.

I’m in this race because our politics need to represent the best of us. I’m in this race because whatever you and your family want for Christmas, you deserve a representative who will stand up for you. You don’t need to be Santa Claus to write and pass good policy, and I look forward to bringing Idahoans together to do just that.
