Recent News

This has been a great year full of accomplishments not only for the House of Representatives but also for you at home! I hope each of you are spending this holiday season with your family and friends relaxing and recuperating. My family and team look forward to the New Year and what 2024 will have in store for all of us. From my family to yours Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

D.C. Update

As we wrap up the year here are a couple of the pieces of legislation we passed before we recessed for Christmas!

• H. Res. 793 – Calling on Hamas to immediately release hostages taken during October 2023 attack on Israel.
• H.R. 5961 - No Funds for Iranian Terrorism Act
• H.R. 542 – Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act, as amended. This requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to expand geriatric or extended care services to veterans in non-institutional settings, or outside of nursing homes.
• H.R. 5933 – DETERRENT Act Holds colleges, universities, and foreign actors accountable and provides more transparency into any influence foreign countries are attempting to exert onto our nation’s students and academic institutions.
• H.R. 4468, CHOICE IN AUTOMOBILE RETAIL SALES (CARS) ACT
• H.R. 1147 - Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2023

District Update

This December my district team helped get everyone in the holiday spirit by saying thank you to some outstanding teachers throughout our district. We were able to hand out over 120 books and school supplies to teachers to help support their classrooms. In the coming new year, we look forward to hosting more events such as these!

2023 in Summary

• We have reached over 830,000 constituents though out Telephone Townhalls
• Our dedicated caseworkers have closed 1,522 cases
• My team and I have toured over 30 facilities and businesses throughout TX06
• I have recognized 255 of our outstanding constituents on the House Floor
• My office has hosted over a dozen Coffee with Congressman throughout the district
• I have co-sponsored 182 pieces of strong conservative legislation
  o   14 of those deal with veterans
  o   13 of them deal with combating Iran
  o   12 of them deal with pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party
  o   8 of them are directly supporting our strong ally in the Middle East, Israel
