Hey John, it's Summer!
Can you believe it's almost the end of the year? I’m about to spend Christmas Eve with my family and take some much needed time offline with the people I love. But lately, I've been thinking a lot about the movement we’ve grown this year and the work we’ve got done for the people who need it most, and I'm so grateful for your constant support.
This holiday season has me in my feels, thinking about what we stand for – sticking together, caring for each other, and bouncing back no matter what comes our way. We've had our ups and downs this year, but the best part? It's how we've all worked together to make life better for the hard-working folks in our communities. And that's all thanks to you and the movement you’ve helped build! We’re a pretty powerful team!
As we enjoy these holidays — whether you celebrate Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, time with loved ones, or a moment to reflect and start the new year out fresh, I hope you take a moment to pat yourself on the back. We've spoken up for what's right, pushed for fair chances for everyone, and really made a difference.
We have much more hard work ahead but I hope you find joy along the way — joy that comes from knowing that when we come together to stand up for the most vulnerable we will build a better future for us all.
Looking ahead to the new year, let's keep this energy going. Sure, we'll have big fights to win and bigger barriers to break down, but we've already shown we can handle anything when we work together. Let's keep making things better, lifting each other up, and building a future we can all be proud of.
Wishing you and your loved ones a holiday season full of joy, peace, and lots of happy moments. Here's to a new year full of new hopes, big steps forward, and staying united!
Thank you for always having my back!
Warmest wishes,
Summer Lee
