Lesko Meetings this Week

It was great meeting with Mike Kapic this week in Arizona. I always appreciate the opportunity to sit down with constituents and discuss what’s going on in Congress.

Thank you to the Cancer Patient Coalition for presenting me with the “Cancer Hero” Award! I’m a proud cosponsor of the Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act, which improves coverage for early-detection cancer tests.

Lesko in the News

We know about “the brand,” we know about “the Big Guy,” we have checks, we have receipts. House Republicans are determined to follow this impeachment inquiry wherever it leads. Listen to my thoughts on this and more on Politics Unplugged!

Lesko Legislation

I’m proud to be the Republican lead on the bipartisan Menopause Research and Equity Act, which requires the NIH to conduct further research on vital components of women’s health. We hope that our colleagues will join together to approve this legislation and provide a brighter future for our daughters and granddaughters. Find more information on this legislation here

GET THE FACTS: Border States Taking the Lead

Since it appears the Biden Administration is adamant about not securing the border, governors are doing the job themselves. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has taken many steps to secure their section of the border. These measures are coming after months and months of smashed daily and monthly border encounter records, as well as an overall yearly record in FY23 where there were over 2.4 million encounters. In December alone, we are seeing an average of much higher than 10,000 encounters per day. It is a sad day in America when governors have to step up because the White House is unwilling to keep the American people safe.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office for passport assistance as they had an upcoming travel date and had not yet received their passport. We contacted the passport service center, located their application, and ensured it was being processed. Soon after, the constituent received the passport and they were able to travel as planned.
