December 23, 2023: Weekly Newsletter

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, 

and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

2023 has been a challenging year for our nation and for so many families. Yet, Christmas reminds us that we can take comfort and even joy in knowing that through it all, God is with us.

Our prayers for you this Christmas is that you and your family can take hope in knowing that “to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) More than any gathering, present, or celebration, truly, Christ is the greatest gift of all!

Rosel and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas! May this be a time of comfort, joy, celebration, and refreshing. And may we also take the moment to say thank you for all the prayers and support through the year. It is an honor to serve and work on your behalf in Congress. 

Thank you as well to those families who may be apart from loved ones this Christmas season with family serving in defense of our country. Please know you are in our prayers. It is because of your sacrifice and service that we have so many blessings to enjoy at Christmas. Thank you for everything you do. 

As we look forward to the new year, we pray you have a blessed time with family and friends — knowing that God is with you.
