Coronavirus Update: Our Work Continues
==========================================
With everything going on, you and the rest of the Project HOPE community have been on my mind. I want to thank you for being the power behind Project HOPE's work to protect health workers and strengthen medical care around the world. We're thinking of you and your family's safety and health during this uncertain time.
As the news changes by the hour, the uncertainty and anxiety can take a real toll on our mental and physical health. That's why I am encouraging everyone to take care of themselves, their families, friends and neighbors. Between school closings, event cancellations, caring for family members and comforting children and grandchildren, managing this crisis at a personal level can be very stressful. Make sure to get plenty of rest, and take time to check in with yourself.
Here at Project HOPE's U.S. homebase, our team members are working remotely to help stop the spread of the virus. Non-essential travel has been canceled, and all meetings are being held virtually. Our primary concern will always remain the safety and well-being of our team members and their families.
Thankfully there are thousands of devoted doctors, nurses, emergency responders, public health officials and health care volunteers fighting back against this pandemic.
In Macedonia and Kosovo, Project HOPE is partnering with Brown University to develop and implement training for frontline health workers to prevent and treat COVID-19 infections. In Colombia, we're working on plans to support undersupplied clinics that need to screen and treat children and families arriving from Venezuela. And our teams in places with fragile health care systems like Puerto Rico, Indonesia and Ethiopia are working with health ministries to prepare and mobilize to save lives.
This pandemic is a test of our health systems, but perhaps more importantly, a test of our capacity for truth and cooperation in a truly global crisis. We are committed to keeping you informed of our coronavirus response both here and around the globe.

Additionally, if you see misinformation being spread about this crisis, you can help correct it and prevent confusion by pointing people to other reliable sources like the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization.
I am always proud to be part of Project HOPE as it fights for better health around the world -- but in the midst of this crisis, I am particularly proud of Project HOPE's years of training and equipping health workers with the tools they are using to combat coronavirus today. Your compassionate and dedicated support in these times of uncertainty means that together we can help lead the way to solutions for better global health.
Take care of yourselves. With your support, we'll be here fighting to save lives. Thank you for your invaluable partnership.
