“For to us a child is born, To us a son is
given. And the government will be upon his shoulder; and his
name will be called “Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Is 9:6)
Dear Friend,
Come, let us worship the Christ
Child, who alone can bestow upon the world the gift of true
peace and true joy.
True peace is the state of deep
well-being, and true joy accompanies peace as its fruit. Joy is not
dependent on happenstance. Joy is not fleeting. Rather, it is
something that abides in times of both tranquility and trial. Joy is,
as Blessed Columba Marmion noted, “the echo of God’s life within
us.”
In these times of great challenge for the Church and for
our nation, we at Catholic Action wish you and your loved
ones a very Blessed Christmas, filled with peace, joy and
abundant grace.
