Hey John,
Your time is valuable — especially this time of year — so I’ll be as brief
as I can before we take a break from fundraising for the next few days.
FEC deadlines during the end of the year are incredibly hard. Take it from
someone who spends a lot of time on the road and apart from family — I
know how meaningful this time of year is.
But the reality is that 8 days from now, my campaign will have to close
the books and file a public report with the Federal Election Commission
logging every donation and dollar we’ve raised in the past three months.
And a few weeks after that, California voters will receive ballots in the
mail with my name on them in California’s primary and special election
primary for the U.S. Senate race.
Two elections, for the same seat, on the same day — against more than 30
other declared candidates from every conceivable party.
Only the top two will advance to November.
Our campaign is aggressively deploying all available resources to reach
millions of voters. Mail. TV ads. Hiring organizers across the state.
We’re leaving no stone unturned.
