Friends,
I know 2023 has been a tough year for a lot of us. The continued war in Ukraine and the war in Israel and Gaza have affected so many of us deeply and personally.
Amid the darkness, I am also reflecting on the light and on everything we’ve been able to accomplish together – fighting for reproductive rights, privacy rights, and LGBTQ+ rights; working to make child care more affordable and accessible; fighting to prevent drug shortages; making sure our service members and their families have the resources they need and deserve; and making sure the U.S. is leading with our values around the world.
I remain so grateful to be representing my district and our country in Congress – serving in House Democratic leadership and elevating San Diego’s priorities nationally. It’s the honor of a lifetime to do this work on behalf of the community I love.
