Dear John,

At Sister District, the health and safety of everyone involved in our organization is always our top priority. That’s why, in accordance with CDC guidelines, we have asked our volunteer leaders to postpone, move to virtual, or cancel any in-person events through May 10th.

Since March 5, we have been working directly with our volunteer leaders to provide guidelines and recommendations for keeping safe and continuing our work. Many of you have already hosted virtual events and are coming up with innovative ways to continue reaching out to voters and organize volunteers.

We highlighted a few creative strategies for remote organizing during the outbreak in a recent blog post, and we will continue to share more in the coming weeks. If you do host a virtual event, we encourage you to share a screenshot on social media, and tag Sister District so we can celebrate and amplify your work.

Sister District HQ is a virtual organization, and all of our staff continue to work from home. We have made our corporate video-conferencing service available to all volunteer teams, and we are here to be a resource in any way we can.

We are especially grateful for the Sister District community in this time of uncertainty and evolving circumstances. Your patience, resilience, and commitment to the progressive movement inspire us and keep us going.

Stay strong,
Rita, Gaby, Lala, and Lyzz
