In recent years, we’ve built on these core programs by partnering with smaller, community-based organizations in the developing world. Each Global Partner helps to advance our mission, whether by removing barriers to girls’ education, conserving wildlife through a public health approach, or directly providing access to reproductive health services for local people.
We’re proud to say that we invested more than $500,000 in our Global Partners’ work last year—thanks to the generous support of people like YOU! With that support, our partners were able to:

pay
for
school
fees
through
Nashipai
Maasai
Community
Projects,
an
organization
based
in
Kenya.
The
parents
or
guardians
of
Nashipai’s
student
beneficiaries
pledged
not
to
subject
their
girls
to
female
genital
mutilation
or
child
marriage.

the
training
of
261
Village
Health
and
Conservation
Team
members
with
Conservation
Through
Public
Health,
a
Ugandan-based
conservation
organization
(and
our
longest-running
Global
Partner!).
Part
of
the
training
taught
volunteers
how
to
address
side
effects
of
various
family
planning
methods,
as
well
as
how
to
manage
and
follow
up
on
referrals
to
community
health
centers.

Provide
family
planning
services
to
1,000+
individuals
through
Women
for
Conservation,
an
organization
based
in
Colombia.
These
services
included
790
contraceptive
implants,
57
tubal
ligations,
46
vasectomies,
300
family
planning
education
talks,
and
48
reproductive
health
follow-up
visits.
