Happy Holidays MCN supporters!

Thousands of clinicians take advantage of Migrant Clinicians Network’s trainings every year. From the agricultural valleys of Southern California, to remote tropical mountainous regions of Puerto Rico, to crab packing houses in Maryland, to the borderlands of Texas, Migrant Clinicians Network has made a difference in others’ lives as we provide trainings, resources, and more that are culturally contextual, linguistically appropriate, much needed, and up to date. Here are just a few messages we’ve received from participants this year:

On our participatory educational approaches: “The way the topic was explained was very concrete and helped us to understand more about the disease. The resources that were shared are very useful.” “This was one of the most interesting presentations I have attended in several years. Well done and the information presented was on point. Thank you.”

On our dedication to language access: “Excellent presentation. I congratulate you and thank you for sending the presentations in Spanish.” “I have attended many very interesting workshops [from other groups], but in English, and my question has always been why they don’t have these workshops in Spanish, since most of the promotoras who work (and serve) the community are also more limited in the language, especially when we are part of community groups.”

We know many of you rely on MCN’s resources and trainings to do your jobs well, to support you through your most difficult times as clinicians serving marginalized people, from COVID to climate disasters, diabetes to pesticides. Donating to MCN means we can equip more clinicians with these tools, so our community of clinicians expands, and more patients get the care they need.
