Our organization made HISTORIC strides in 2023 for our movement to ban assault weapons:

→ We held a SEVEN-DAY sit-in on the steps of the DC Capitol Building with survivors of mass shootings and their loved ones to DEMAND change.

→ We raised TENS OF THOUSANDS to help Leaders We Deserve elect Virginia’s youngest state delegate, Nadarius Clark.

→ We donated THOUSANDS to gun safety champions like Maxwell Frost, Jared Moskowitz, and Emily Busch.

→ We cosponsored the ELEVENTH annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence — where leaders like Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Maxwell Frost stood with us.

→ And — after all our pressure and pleading — Schumer introduced the Federal Assault Weapons Ban on the Senate floor for the FIRST time since the Sandy Hook massacre.

And none of it would have been possible without support from folks like you.

We know we can make 2024 another banner year for our movement to end gun violence by passing a federal assault weapons ban. But we need everyone on our side to make it happen. So we’re calling on 750 gun safety champions to join us before midnight to PROVE that we aren’t backing down — and that we’re ready to make next year our most impactful yet. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out.

BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans.
