John, we’ve sent
a few emails this week telling you we’ve had to delay our TV ads due to a
slow down in fundraising.

Here’s some added context: Running TV ads in California is incredibly
expensive. The LA media market is the second most expensive in the
country, and the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose market is #8. Not to
mention those two markets only cover a fraction of our state’s voters—from
Eureka to San Diego, we have millions of voters to reach.

TV ads won’t be the only way we’ll reach people. From organizing, to
events, to texts and digital ads, we’ll be reaching voters of all
backgrounds in a variety of ways.

But the reality is we’re running against the best-funded opponent anyone
could have. As of the latest public filing, our opponent had more money
than any Democrat in the country—including President Biden’s campaign!

We know we can win this even if we raise a bit less, and Katie is
committed to doing this the right way: without a dime from corporate PACs,
federal lobbyists, or Big Oil, Big Pharma or Big Bank CEOs.
