Friend,

2023 was a continued year of uncertainty, but despite this, you never stopped fighting to end animal suffering. In fact, you helped the lives of millions of animals through your support of World Animal Protection. Animals like Mae Kam, an elephant enjoying a peaceful retirement at BEES elephant sanctuary, a partner of World Animal Protection, after a long and difficult life.

Before the sanctuary, Mae Kam’s life was full of suffering, exploitation, and hard labor. Over the course of her life, she was used for log transportation and was forced to spend her days giving rides to tourists. Thankfully, she was rescued by the owners of Bees Elephant sanctuary and is now enjoying well-deserved retirement. You can watch her video below.

Mae Kam is just one of the animals who you have helped, Friend . Thanks to you, thousands of animals have been saved worldwide from cruelty and exploitation . And we have ambitious plans for 2024 to continue saving individual animals, while pushing for systemic changes that will impact the lives of animals for generations to come.

Friend , this work wouldn’t be possible without you and your dedication to animals. And as we head into the holiday season, I hope you take a moment to reflect on the forward progress you’ve made for animals around the world.

Thank you for your voice, your time, your generosity, and above all—your kind heart. We hope you have a healthy and happy New Year!

Thank you,
Liz Quick-Corral
