John, I never thought this was how it would end up for me…

When I was a kid sleeping on the floor in the apartment my mother got for us after my father left, I never thought this is how things would turn out for me.

At the time, I could honestly say my life sucked and I was not going to stand for that.

But I never thought I’d run for public office — let alone win a seat in the House of Representatives. That was just unimaginable.

Of course, I never thought I’d run for Senate with the responsibility of taking back Arizona’s seat to hold our majority and be a key vote on the issues we all care about.

I never thought hundreds of thousands of people I’ve never met in my life would sign up to support me, let alone make a donation.

And I never thought I’d have to ask someone to do that, right before the holidays.

But that’s what I have to do. I need you to make your first contribution to my campaign.

This will be the last email I send you before we take some time off for the holidays. I’m looking forward to it, but I’m also a little worried.

We’re short of our goals. And with Kyrsten Sinema raising hedge fund money hand-over-first and Kari Lake raising tons of money from Trump’s followers, the timing is not great.
