Dear John,
As we face greater uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and heed the advice of public health officials, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Norooz event on March 26th in Washington, D.C. featuring Co-Founder of City Year, Alan Khazei, and Congressman Jamie Raskin. While we are deeply disappointed that we will not be able to celebrate Norooz with you all, the safety, health and wellbeing of our members always has been, and always will be, our number one priority.
For those of you who have already purchased tickets, you may request a refund or apply your ticket towards a copy of the The Rumi Prescription by Melody Moezzi. All you have to do is respond to this email and our staff will contact you directly.

The Rumi Prescription is the new book from Iranian-American author Melody Moezzi presenting a message of love and unity in a time increasingly defined by fear and hostility—and ideally, to help others do the same. As we pivot to this new, hopefully short-term, reality, we expect The Rumi Prescription will make the adjustment easier.
We hope that this crisis will pass swiftly and that all of us stay healthy and safe. In the meantime, please stay tuned for exciting new digital programming that will be available to all of our members in the coming days.
Onward,
Jamal Abdi
