I'll get right to it, friend – the final FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the year is just 8 days away. After that, our fundraising numbers go public.

Here's why this matters: Everyone from election analysts to my potential GOP opponents will comb through these numbers to determine the overall strength of our grassroots team. If we show any signs of weakness, we could be putting this seat – and Democrats' Senate majority – in serious jeopardy.

That's why we absolutely must reach our $250,000 end-of-quarter goal. But with time running out, I'm falling incredibly short.
