Friends — I was hoping I wouldn’t have to send this email.

I don’t like to send too many emails to you. And I try not to reach out on a Saturday during the holidays when many folks are rightfully taking some time for themselves.

But the reason I’m reaching out despite that is because, frankly, we’re behind on our goals and we are just a week away from the close of our end-of-year FEC fundraising deadline.

The good news is that seven days is certainly enough time to meet our goal. In fact, based on our math only a few hundred more people would need to make a contribution for us to beat our goal. That’s less than 0.1% of the people who make up this progressive movement.

And if we did beat our goals, we would be able to send a serious message to the establishment, the far-right, and the corporate Super PACs that a grassroots campaign like ours has the support and the resources to go up against them and win.

So, I have to ask:

Will you make a contribution today and help power this campaign for progressive change? Do it before we are legally required to report our fundraising numbers to the FEC next week.
