I wanted to give you an update on what I’m doing to help protect our families from coronavirus. I hope you and your family are taking proper precautions and staying up to date with the latest news and public health information.

In the House of Representatives, we passed bipartisan legislation to guarantee free testing, provide paid emergency and medical leave, extend emergency unemployment benefits, and more. 

Here in Georgia, there are over 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) so far. We are in constant communication with public safety and public health officials to continue to continue to coordinate our response and guidance to the public. 

Out of an abundance of caution, my re-election campaign has suspended our events for the foreseeable future.

I hope that the Senate will immediately pass our bipartisan legislation as soon as possible to ensure that everyone affected -- families, small businesses, and workers in industries that have suddenly ground to a halt -- can get the help they need.
