I wanted to wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season!

This is such a special time: to spend time with loved ones, in our homes and in our hearts; to solidify the bonds of family, given and chosen; and to strengthen the bonds of community.

This is a season of optimism and hope for the future.

It provides us the opportunity to look back on the year we’ve had — to reflect with gratitude on our many blessings, to mourn our losses, and to lay down the burdens weighing us down. And it is a chance to look forward to the year ahead, and our opportunity to make it a better year.

In the coming days, as Cass and I join together with family and friends, part of our reflection of gratitude will be on the members of our grassroots team, including you.

Together, we are building something special here in Oregon. It is part of our shared commitment to build safer and healthier communities for everyone. Thank you for being a part of it.
