Congress has long been made up of old, white men who do the bidding of
powerful corporations.

I got to Washington in 2019, and I’ve never fit that mold. I’m a single
mom of three who is determined to “do Congress” differently than most of
my colleagues.

* I’m one of just eleven (out of 435!) Members of Congress who don't
take federal lobbyist money.
* I’m the only candidate in this race who has never taken corporate PAC
money, and I fully support banning it.
* When Congress brought back “earmarks” in 2021 (after they had been
banned in 2011 because the process leads to corruption and waste) I
was the only Democrat to oppose them.
* I’m leading the fight to ban Members of Congress and their spouses
from trading stocks. It’s plain wrong that Members are getting rich
off information we learn in private briefings.

going to win this race and shake up the Senate. We have a really important
