John, there’s been an important change for our election tomorrow in response to the coronavirus pandemic. I wanted to speak with you about it directly.
The Ohio Governor announced this afternoon that he is recommending the postponement of the Ohio in-person primary election until Tuesday, June 2nd. We still don’t have many of the details on how this will work in practice. Nevertheless, I wanted to let you know that I agree wholeheartedly with this decision, and I urge you all to make your safety and health — and the safety and health of your families and communities — your first priority.
This is the right decision. Nothing is more important to me than the well-being of this community, and this crisis has driven home that we must do better. We are only as safe as the most vulnerable among us.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for this campaign. Please look after yourselves, and each other.
Together is how we get through this, and together is how we win,
Morgan
