From all of us at Indiana GOP HQ, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas!!! This is a time for each of us to step away from the hustle and bustle, and spend quality time with friends and family recharging for the year ahead!

2023 has been an amazing year and it's all because of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice from each of you. We have a built a GREAT Republican team and we are looking forward to 2024!!!  2024 is going to be a HUGE Election year for our state and our country -- together we will make sure we put America on the right track and that Indiana continues to be a state that others admire and envy.

Governor Eric Holcomb sat down for multiple end of year interviews this week, in which he reflected on his 7 years in office and what is coming in 2024. 

What he’s saying: "Next year will be about landing and launching, meaning landing certain projects or deals and finishing what we started and then launching new. I don’t want there to be a sense in this administration that we’re just landing planes safely. We have to be launching”, Gov. Holcomb said in an interview with the Indiana Capital Chronicle.

What else happened this week? Gov. Holcomb sent out a reminder that this tax season, Indiana National Guardsmen will no longer have to pay state income tax. This is thanks to House Bill 1034 that the General Assembly passed and Gov. Holcomb signed into law in 2023.

Gov. Holcomb also announced a $127 million MEGA Grant to INDOT for the FlexRoad project in Northwest Indiana.

2023 has been an extremely successful year for Hoosiers. Republican leadership continues to make Indiana one of the best places to live.

At the local level, we secured a record 76 mayors statewide. This includes flipping 14 mayors’ offices across the state. Our Republican Diversity Leadership Series continues to grow the party and reach new members, including two alumni being elected to local offices. And Republican led cities in Indiana continue to rank nationally among the best places to live!

In the State Legislature this year, Republicans really focused on making sure your state government is working for you. 

Here are just a few things Republicans were able to accomplish: 

- Increased pay for state police, state conservation officers, and state excise police 

- Approved a $7 million investment into regional firefighting training infrastructure and an additional $10 million to help purchase equipment for volunteer firefighter organizations 

- Increased K-12 funding with an additional $1.5 BILLION in new money, including teacher pay raises and covering the costs of textbooks for all Hoosier families.

Republicans accomplished all this while also lowering taxes and balancing the budget! We’re so thankful for all of these successes this year.

Governor Eric Holcomb and all Hoosiers were saddened by the loss of Indiana First Dog Henry Holcomb.

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch delivered Christmas presents to WISH-TV for Toys for Tots.

Secretary Diego Morales celebrated Christmas with the Hispanic community of Indiana.

Attorney General Todd Rokita helped raise money for Veterans. 

Treasurer Daniel Elliot travelled to all 92 counties and met with County Treasurers.

Comptroller Elise Nieshalla visited with local officials at the Association of Indiana Counties Board of Directors.

Senator Mike Braun shared some of his recent wins for veterans.

Senator Todd Young helped a record number of Hoosiers in 2023.

Congressman Rudy Yakym visited the Food Bank of Northern Indiana in South Bend.

Congressman Jim Banks hosted an event with the Claremont Institute.

Congressman Jim Baird's met with Indiana soybean and corn farmers to talk about new markets for agricultural products.

Congresswoman Victoria Spartz spoke at the Broad Ripple Sertoma Club.

Congressman Greg Pence and his wife Denise wished our service members a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Congressman Larry Bucshon travelled throughout his district to hear from constituents about the issues they care about.

Congresswoman Erin Houchin's helped welcome U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to the Hoosier state.
