This isn’t an email we imagined we would be sending even a week ago, but the coronavirus pandemic continues to shut down concerts, movie theaters, bars, restaurants, and yes, political events.

So let us be honest with you: The fact that organizations like Ditch Mitch and candidates like Amy McGrath can no longer hold in-person campaign events & fundraisers or go door-to-door to meet and talk with voters is going to cost us.

In a campaign like the one we’re running against Mitch McConnell, everything is going to count. The last few months, we’ve had momentum in the polls and in fundraising, but we can’t afford any setback if we’re going to actually defeat the most powerful man in Washington.

We’re planning to launch more TV, radio, and digital ads to try to make up for what we’re not able to do in-person right now as a result of COVID-19, but it’s going to take extra resources to fund. If we’re going to help Amy McGrath defeat Mitch McConnell this November and take back the Senate, we simply must raise an additional $200,000 in the next 7 days. There's no way around it.

Mitch McConnell has millions of dollars he’s taken from special interests and corporate PACs, but we rely on grassroots donors like you. With all of our in-person campaigning and events on pause, we absolutely cannot afford to fall short if we’re going to win, so we're truly counting on you more than ever:
