President Trump Removed from Ballot by Colorado Supreme Court

Trump’s Resilience and the Imperative Support of Republican Voters

Amidst a wild and circuitous contest for the 2024 Republican nomination, one figure stands resilient—Donald Trump. The recent challenges posed by the Colorado Supreme Court attempting to sideline him from the ballot underscore a critical juncture in this cycle where the voice of the people must prevail over and against leftist judicial overreach.

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley's advocacy for the electorate's role in deciding the fate of candidates resonates with Reoublicans. The attempt to exclude Trump from the ballot not only raises concerns about fairness but also undermines the core democratic principle of voter sovereignty. Haley’s call for electoral determination over judicial interference resonates because it is a common sense position of safeguarding the people's right to choose their leaders.

The Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling, centered on Trump's alleged violations of the 14th Amendment in connection with the events of January 6th, necessitates a principled stance. Trump's immediate appeal to the US Supreme Court reflects a commitment to defending the rights enshrined in the Constitution and to upholding the integrity of the electoral process.

The Kansas Republican Party is currently assembling a group of Republican State Party Chairman participants from the various states and territories to join in an Amicus Brief pleading to the United States Supreme Court to decide, once and for all, the question at hand and to put back or keep Donald Trump on every states ballot.

The ongoing rub between Haley and Trump, albeit partially focused on policy differences like gas taxes, fundamentally mirrors a larger struggle—the future direction of the Republican Party. Trump's enduring influence and wide-ranging support highlight the significance of this debate beyond individual policies.

The Republican state parties across America have shown incredible resiliency, fortitude, and unwavering dedication to supporting Trump's legal battle rightly emphasizes the need for the Republican nominee's selection to remain within the purview of the party's voters, not subject to partisan judicial determinations.

The unyielding loyalty displayed by Republicans, as highlighted by the New York Times/Siena College poll, underscores Trump's enduring appeal and the depth of support within the party. Over 60% of Republicans affirm their allegiance to Trump, reflecting a steadfast commitment to his leadership despite potential legal challenges.

Ultimately, the unity and unwavering support of the Republican base for Donald Trump symbolizes a crucial stance in defending democratic values and ensuring the voice of the electorate remains paramount.

As the primaries near, let us reaffirm the essence of democracy by empowering voters to decide the fate of their party and the nation. Not an elitists group of folks wearing black robes, sitting at a dais, and making it up as they go along.

Note:

The Kansas Republican Party is proud to join other states in this critical and constitutional effort. It is an honor for the KSGOP to play a key role in this pivitol chapter in American History.

I also wish to express my sincere gratitude to Ben Sisney, Esq., and the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) for their tireless efforts in this case and other similar legal matters across America on myriad conservative issues. Their tireless and deeply dedicated representation of the Kansas, Michigan and Colorado Republican Party as an intervened party in this lawsuit proved invalueable, as well as the unwavering support of other state parties who collaborated with the KSGOP to defend our country, liberty and freedom. Their contributions are forever remembered, and their commitment to upholding the law is nothing short of patriotic.

Without these amazing Patriots and many others, our republic would not be so robustly defended against these frequent and flagrant assaults on America and our ideals of fairness and justice.

On a personal note, those who are trying to keep President Trump, or any other legitimate candidate, off their states’ ballot to accomplish their selfish goals of “winning at any cost” are reprehensible and unAmerican. These people not only deserve to lose this case but also must be ashamed of the selfish risk they’ve taken with America’s future hanging in the balance.

KSGOP Chairman Brown Attends Turning Point “AmericaFest 2023”

I attended the Turning Point USA event, “AmericaFest 2023,” in Phoenix, AZ, last weekend.

14,000 conservative and patriotic Americans attended the event at the Phoenix Convention Center. There were many familiar faces, tons of smiles and laughter, and we got a few great ideas for things at our state convention next month.

I also had the opportunity to be an invited speaker for the event. The topic was the RNC and specifically the RNC leadership.

During Q&A, the prevailing sentiment was frustration with the RNC’s lackluster winning record in the last few cycles and RNC leadership. Problems and frustrations were called out and names were dropped. It was abundantly clear that Bold Conservative Republican Leadership is wanted and needed from the RNC to guide Republicans across America to wins in 2024 and hard earned dollars weren't going to be donated until substantial changes are made.

We face a presidential election year where we also must also defend the Republican majority in the U.S. House and take back the U.S. Senate.

At a time the Republican Party is getting more grey-haired by the day, it was refreshing to see the majority of attendees at Turning Point’s AmericaFest under the age of 30.

This gave me a lot of hope for America in 2024, and for decades down the road. And that was the greatest Christmas gift I could have ever asked for or received.

SEL Data Collection

Violation of Student and Parental Rights

Testimony to KSBE November 14, 2023

By Linda Highland

A Kansas Legislative Post Audit October 2021 report revealed breaches and major problems with school data security. And yet you continue to collect massive amounts of data through all the many learning management systems you have encouraged schools to use for implementation of SEL. At one time on your Measuring Social Emotional Learning Locally link, you were in support of 21 different systems to collect personal data from students. Are these companies keeping their own second set of data on the students?

SEL is the umbrella curriculum for all education and has ushered in an opportunity for businesses and public private partnerships to get in on the revenue source of data mining students. We hear that KSBE surveyed businesses about the kind of students they wished the schools to produce. The leading questions asked were then used to give KSBE the go ahead to change the school day to be SEL dominated. All businesses and parents really want is a well-educated student, who can be further trained to successfully prosper. Were parents, teachers, students, and legislators widely consulted about the costly curriculum change toward SEL?

Should the Attorney General give an opinion if your SEL student data collection is a violation of the 1978 federal Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA), commonly referred to as the Parental Consent Amendment, the 2014 Kansas Prohibition of Biometric Data Collection, and the 2014 Kansas Student Data Privacy Act as Amended in 2022?

Schools are not to be medical facilities where teachers, counselors, nurses, and social workers perform mental and physical therapy and record mental assessments with data on children. School personnel are not trained therapists and should not need mal-practice medical insurance. Any time personal questions of a child’s attitudes, values, and beliefs are administered, the parent must be shown these materials and give written approval. Whenever secrets are kept from parents, it is a violation of their Constitutional rights, US Supreme Court rulings, and federal and Kansas statutes. Schools are academic institutions and that needs to be the focus.

Conservatively Speaking

KSGOP Chairman

Mike Brown

Colorado Supreme Court Decision: Unacceptable

Partisan Politics On Display in Courts Must End

The Kansas Republican Party has been working diligently on your behalf regarding the 2024 presidential elections.

Your KSGOP has been a part of the Colorado Supreme Court lawsuit to keep Donald Trump on the ballot in Colorado and also at the Michigan Supreme Court to keep Trump on the ballot there.

We are engaged in these states, and likely others soon, because as your chairman, I believe any qualified Republican candidate not appearing on even one state's ballot harms Kansas Republican voters.

If even one state removes any Republican candidate from their primary election ballot, that person is ineligible to receive that state's delegates at the 2024 RNC Nominating Convention and then further that state's electors to the Electoral College.

That means if one state pulls this shenanigan, every Kansas voter is inversely and adversely damaged. This would be patently unfair, and I will not stand by and let this happen without a fierce fight.

We are now assembling a solid and robust team for this fight and drafting an amicus brief for the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) for the case moving from the Colorado Supreme Court decision to SCOTUS for a final decision.

Americans must make the decisions about our elections - and not judges. Letting elites decide how our elections will be executed, who can be on the ballot, how long they have to vote, how they vote, when they vote, and if they voted fairly has been in the court's purview far too long.

It is time to take control of these critical decisions away from the bench.

These decisions must be made by the people, for the people.

As we have seen from the majority of our liberal Kansas Supreme Court Justices, something happens to their ego when they put on that black robe and walk out to their seat at the dais.

Somehow and suddenly, they decide they’ve become much smarter than those they serve. Judges are nearly exclusively attorneys. And counselors, by and large, suffer from the same overblown ego issues, so it makes sense. But the fact is, they aren’t brighter than most of us. They've just convinced themselves - and you - that they are more intelligent.

Many of them, like attorneys we know too well, love drama, manipulation, and twisting and stretching the truth. One, in particular, we all know too well is an ambulance-chasing hack looking to make a quick buck. These are the bad ones, and, unfortunately, sometimes, these grifters and charlatans slip by and ascend to a judgeship. But, too, there are good attorneys like our KSGOP Counselor, the attorneys at the American Center for Law & Justice, and many others I consider and count as friends and allies. They take their profession very seriously and represent themselves professionally. These are the lawyers we want to serve as judges. And with judges of this caliber, we wouldn’t be fighting this nonsense now.

But this is where we find ourselves now with the Colorado and the Kansas Supreme Courts.

Judicial Reform is a must in Kansas and just about every other state for that matter. The Colorado Supreme Court’s “Banana Republic” decision this week shows us the need for change and the fact it was a 4-3 split decision in a blue state demonstrates this became elitist Ivy League educated judges vs. public university liberals. And in the elitist world of the Ivy League, “more liberal is more better.” Disgusting.

In the meantime, because elections have consequences, SCOTUS fortuitously leans to the right. And in the final analysis, it will only matter what SCOTUS says on this matter, and DJT’s name will appear on the ballot in all 56 States and territories.

This legislative session in Kansas, which begins next month, must include consideration of a judicial system overhaul. The judicial branch has ignored the majority of Kansans for nearly two decades and has more than earned this rebuild, which should follow the federal model for judge selection, which must include Kansas Senate approval.

And your Kansas Republican Party is ready to get to work.

Meet the Candidates

KSGOP National Committeeman and Committewoman

Dr. Mark Steffen

My life has been a series of events preparing me for these times. Husband, father, physician, farmer, oil & gas producer, general contractor: my specialty has been tackling new challenges head on, and with God’s grace…. successfully. In the spirit of servant leadership, I ask for your support for Kansas Republican Party National Committeeman. As an elected County precinct committeeman, District Delegate, State Delegate, and Kansas State Senator, I have led the grassroots’ charge back to the CONSTITUTION, our FREEDOMS, and the TRUTH. I pledge to promote our Kansas Republican Party Platform unapologetically from “Sea to Shining Sea”. UNITY is ultimately found within our values and principles, it’s also where success resides and where a true “Red Wave” begins. The RNC struggles to define what they stand for as their thinking is frequently usurped by big-money donors committed to their selfish interests. Endorsements: the approval I seek is from WE THE PEOPLE, while they are rarely famous, they are Kansas’ greatest asset. My heart and soul are firmly planted in the Kansas Grassroots. A vote for me will be a vote for a Republican revival, a resurgence. I WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!! See my resume at SteffenForKansas.com. Facebook: Dr. Mark Steffen. Cell: 620-802-1188

MARK KAHRS

Helping elect solid conservatives to office and advancing the America First agenda has been a lifelong endeavor for me. My most valued political experience is what I've gained as a grassroots activist working with conservatives to elect Republicans. I've served as:

Precinct committeeman

Field Director for Todd Tiahrt for Congress

Kansas GOP State Committee Delegate

Sedgwick County Republican Central Committee Chairman

Kansas Fourth District Republican Treasurer

Kansas Fourth District Chairman

Kansas State Representative

Vice Chair of the Kansas Republican House Campaign Committee

I’ve helped maintain a Republican majority in the Kansas House, fought to keep our Republican primaries closed, recruited conservatives to run for office, and raised money for candidates and conservative initiatives. As a member of the RNC, I am working to strengthen the integrity of our elections and to build conservative coalitions. It’s critical work I hope to continue.

My decades of service to the Republican Party helped me earn the support of three of Kansas's Republican Congressional District Chairs – Laura Francis, Eric Rucker, and Debbie Luper. I hope to earn your support as well.

MARIA HOLIDAY

I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Maria Holiday and I am currently the Chair of the Johnson County Republican Party. It is one of many roles I have held in Kansas politics. I was born in Wichita and raised in Ellinwood in Barton County. My family moved to Garden City when I was a sophomore. After high school, I graduated from St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City with a degree in education. My husband's job brought us to Johnson County in 1992. Doc and I have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a lab mix named Ebony.

I believe the Republican Party has a winning platform. “We The People,” must pull together to defend our country. I have and will continue to fight for truth! We need leadership who is not timid about promoting our platform.

As your National Committeewoman, I will have a vote for new National leadership in 2025. I will vote for a leader that will listen to the grassroots. We need an RNC that can create excitement and hope for the future. We need the RNC to support conservative ideals, project political strength, and win the big races across America and Kansas. “We The People” are desperately waiting for an RNC that is not afraid to take ACTION!

In addition to being the Johnson County Chair, I have been the Chair for the Kansas Republican Assembly, the secretary for the 3rd Congressional District, a grassroots coordinator for Phill Kline, a campaign volunteer for multiple campaigns, a campaign manager, and a candidate for public office. I am a 2007 graduate of the Eisenhower Women in Leadership Series. I am unabashedly pro-life, and I have always supported Republican leadership.

In my first year as Johnson County Chair, our JCRP team rebuilt our website and added a campaign toolkit for candidates. We have established messaging recommendations, created precinct committee persons recruitment and training committees, held candidate training, and remodeled our office so our 2 dozen local Republican groups have a home large enough to hold their meetings and events. We doubled fundraising this year over last and got a record number of Republicans out to vote in a local election.

If you want a National Committee Woman who gets things done - I’m your girl. I care about our country. I care about saving it.

WENDY BINGESSER

Wendy is currently serving as the Chair of the Third District Republican Party and previously served as the Chair of the Olathe Republican Party. She is a graduate of the Eisenhower Series and a member of the KFRW. In 2020, she personally knocked the entirety of four critical Kansas House districts and won them all. These wins allowed Republicans to keep their supermajority and deliver on key proposals. As a Johnson County Charter Commissioner, Wendy won a battle to keep the sheriff an elected office and blocked a radical proposal for a public health and safety governing board. Wendy is a mother, wife, K-State alumna, and proud Kansas conservative.

Blessings,

Wendy

How Do The Elections For NCM & NCW Work?

As the KSGOP State Committee Meeting on January 27, 2024 approaches, here is some detail on the official elections of NCM & NCW.

The KSGOP Bylaws (see below) specifically detail that the KSGOP Executive Director or the KSGOP Secretary must be notified by a candidate no less than seven days before the official Winter State Committee meeting.

Several candidates have officially declared their candidacy to the KSGOP including (alphabetically by last name) Wendy Bingesser, Maria Holiday, Mark

Kahrs, and Mark Steffen.

Other interested candidates should read and follow the KSGOP Constitution and Bylaws available at www.kansas.gop. Upon official notification to the KSGOP, the candidate should expect to receive a written confirmation from the Executive Director or Secretary confirming said notification. If you have submitted a notification but did not receive a confirmation, please resend it and ask for a received receipt.

Each official candidate is eligible to supply a short narrative to Mike Brown at [email protected] regarding their experience, qualifications, endorsements, and any other pertinent information plus a picture of themselves.

The KSGOP leadership, all members of the State Committee, and all Precinct Committeemen/women, in their official party capacity, are forbidden from endorsing, backing, or supporting candidates participating in primary elections, including inner-party races. This rule applies to the race for Kansas National Committeeman/woman. Certainly, all Kansas Republicans (including me) reserve the right to personally endorse any Republican candidate in any race at any time in their personal and private capacity. I discourage all elected and party Republicans from endorsements as they create unnecessary division and hard feelings when the KSGOP is now coming together and readying for 2024. Unity First!

When Country music star Luke Combs learned that a big fan was fined a quarter million dollars for using his likeness, Combs stepped in to help.

A company contracted by Combs’ management identified Florida resident Nicol Harness as selling tumblers and t-shirts with his likeness on them on Amazon. Taking her to court, they won a $250,000 damages judgment, money which Harness, who has congestive heart failure, did not have, and had no means of obtaining.

“She told me she was absolutely shocked by this,” Combs said in a social media post. “I’m so apologetic. Talking to her, it makes me sick honestly that this would happen, especially at the holiday.”

In total, Pinellas had sold just 18 tumblers, earning a total of $360. She had no idea that she was targeted along with a suite of other illegal online vendors in an October lawsuit filed in a court in Illinois.

“So, we do have a company that goes after folks, only supposedly large corporations operating internationally that make millions and millions of dollars, making counterfeit T-shirts, things of that nature run illegal businesses,” Combs explained. “And apparently this woman, Nicol, has somehow gotten wrapped into that.”

Combs said Harness told him she had $5,500 locked in her Amazon account, which the judge determined had to go toward the 250K she has been ordered to pay Combs.

“I’m gonna double that send her $11,000 today just so she doesn’t have anything to worry about,” Combs said. “She was never supposed to be involved in anything like this.”

“I invited Nicol and her family out to a show this year so I can give her a hug and say sorry in person,” he said in conclusion. “And yeah, I love you guys. I just wanted to clear that up because it makes me sick for anybody to be thinking I’m this kind of person.”

WFLA Tampa reports that in Illinois, court orders and lawsuits can also be served via email, which Harness said was buried in her junk folder. In Florida, where she lives, court orders and notices of any legal requirements must be served in person.
