I hope this note finds you and your loved ones well, safe, and healthy. Our lives have been upended by the COVID-19 pandemic and this is an extremely stressful and emotional time for so many of us.

Together with you, we will fight these extraordinary challenges. That's why I'm reaching out to you today.

We all have a role to play in trying to lessen the impacts of the pandemic. Last week we closed our offices and set up all staff to work remotely. We have canceled all travel for the time being and are turning in-person events into virtual gatherings. We are encouraging our staff and communities to practice social distancing because we know that the actions we take today will help keep people safe and healthy now and in the weeks and months to come.

Our work to defeat Trump and elect pro-environment champions at all levels is as important as ever. LCV Victory Fund has robust, cutting-edge plans in place to ensure we win in November. Our first priority is obviously the safety and health of our staff, donors, volunteers, and communities. Our talented team is now hard at work to pivot our strategies in a time when person-to-person contact and events will be harder to do. I will be sharing more about these plans in the days and weeks ahead.

These are tough times and I have been heartened to see how people and communities have come together to keep each other safe and healthy.

This extraordinary situation will test all of us. With that said, addressing the climate crisis and winning at the ballot box is work that cannot stop or even take a short pause. If anything, this pandemic shows what happens when science and the experts are ignored and the institutions we rely on to protect us are weakened. It's time to reverse that course and we believe it can be done.

LCV Victory Fund's work continues. The fight for climate justice and protecting decades of sound environmental policy continues.
