Republicans Lead on Every Crisis Facing Americans

House Republicans have been leading with solutions on every issue — passing legislation to confront rising crime, unleash American energy, lower costs for families, secure President Biden’s wide-open border, combat executive overreach and burdensome agency rules, and refocus our military on its core mission of national security.

Washington must work for the American people – not against them. In the next year, House Republicans will hit the ground running, continuing to address the problems that are hurting families across the country and deliver on our promises.

From Cajun cuisine and Zydeco music to our bayous and abundant natural resources, Louisiana has an unparalleled culture and heritage and is home to some of the most unique and special landscapes and traditions in the world.

Recently, I introduced legislation to include Lafourche Parish in the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area (ANHA.) Lafourche Parish was the only parish in the historic boundary area left out of the original designation. The ANHA protects our region’s storied culture and resources, and I’m proud to lead the effort with my congressional delegation colleagues to ensure that Lafourche Parish is included in this important National Heritage Area.

Earlier this month, I was pleased to meet with St. Bernard Parish officials. We talked about issues important to the Parish like flood insurance costs, flood protection projects and seafood issues.
