Dear Friend,
I am writing you as 2023 comes to a
close with an urgent appeal to help the U.S.-based movement in solidarity with the
Palestinian people continue to grow in the coming weeks
and months.
Our movement has rapidly expanded
in the last two and a half months. The ANSWER Coalition was one of the
anchoring organization for the largest-ever demonstration in the
United States in support of Palestine on November 4, 2023. Every week
before and after that historic outpouring, we have been in the streets
demanding a ceasefire and an end to apartheid and
occupation.
The war crimes committed by the
Israeli government against the people of Gaza are unmatched in the
21st century. These crimes, which are continuing by the hour, could
not go on without the backing of a government that speaks in the name
of the people of this country. Millions of people are enraged by the
actions of the Biden administration. As we act, in record numbers, we
are making it crystal clear that the government cannot speak in our
name.
Nothing is more important than to
help this new movement grow into an irresistible force. As happened
with the racist apartheid regime in South Africa in the 1980s, the
grassroots global movement can be decisive.
In the coming weeks, the ANSWER
Coalition will be marching alongside hundreds of organizations and
millions of people demanding an end to apartheid and occupation,
demanding that the U.S. government end all aid to the Israeli regime.
These actions are getting bigger and broader as millions of people
come into this movement for the first time.
Thank you for your continued
support. We are appealing to everyone to make an urgently needed tax-deductible
donation to support this work. We have
hundreds of volunteers and organizers working around the clock,
but we can’t succeed without funds and financial
support.
Thank you again. I wish you and
your family the best during this troubled holiday season.
Let us work together to help make a
Free Palestine a reality!
