John,
This is House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark. I want to take a moment to explain why this end-of-year fundraising push is so important, especially for my colleague, Jahana Hayes.
At the end of each quarter, fundraising numbers are submitted by campaigns to the Federal Election Commission (or the FEC), which are then published for everyone to see.
And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. Dark money GOP super PACs, extreme right wing groups, and national Republican megadonors are watching, especially now that we’ll be entering an election year.
Posting strong numbers, including the total number of grassroots donors who support this important work, will showcase the strength and momentum behind taking back the House and putting Democrats in charge.
On the flip side, showing any signs of vulnerability could invite attacks from the right. This is particularly true for Jahana Hayes — they’re one of the top targets of extreme MAGA Republicans who are raising record-breaking amounts of money to flip this seat and expand their majority in the House.
The millions the GOP raises will directly translate to the size and scope of attack ads they’ll lob against Democrats, so grassroots support has a huge impact in our ability to fight back.
Hitting this goal means that Jahana Hayes and I will have the resources we need to respond to any attacks, build winning campaigns, and flip the House blue.
We can flip the House, but that is only possible if we re-elect Jahana Hayes. So please, before our critically important end-of-year deadline, can I count on you to support our efforts by splitting a contribution between my campaign and Jahana Hayes’ today?

Together, we’ll do our part to re-elect leaders like Jahana Hayes who will work tirelessly to solve real problems, cut costs for everyday Americans, protect our freedoms, and end the chaos of the MAGA Majority once and for all.
Thanks for joining in, we can’t do it without your support.
Katherine Clark
