Seven years ago, I became the first Latina elected to the Senate. We broke a huge glass ceiling on that day. But there are still far too many ceilings hanging over Washington. That's why, today, I'm personally asking you to help Debbie Mucarsel-Powell beat Rick Scott in Florida and become the first Latina immigrant to ever serve in the Senate.

Debbie is facing tough odds, just like I was in 2016 and again in 2022. But I know firsthand that a strong grassroots team can overcome even the steepest odds. Rick Scott is seriously vulnerable. He only won his seat by 10,033 votes — just 0.12%. Since then, he's spent his time in Washington pushing a dangerous, extremist agenda. Now, polling shows that his approval ratings are totally underwater. It's no wonder why CNN has ranked him as one of the top 10 most vulnerable senators in the entire country.

On the other hand, Florida voters have an incredible candidate in Debbie. Growing up as an immigrant in America, she watched her mom work double shifts to make ends meet. She understands the problems facing working families in Florida, and she'll fight tirelessly to win the progress they need. That's how she flipped a battleground House seat blue back in 2018.

And polling data shows that this race is already a statistical tie!

A vulnerable opponent; an incredible, proven candidate; and polling data to back it all up — if that's not a recipe for success, I don't know what is.

But here's the catch: Rick Scott is a mega-millionaire who spent $64 MILLION of his own fortune to buy this seat last time around. It's going to take a massive grassroots movement to defeat him. That's why Debbie's $300,000 end-of-quarter goal is so important. But she's falling short, and she's counting on your help to make up the gap: Please, will you rush $5 to help Debbie defend our Senate majority and flip Florida blue?
