Update on Coronavirus in Arizona

This week I spoke to Arizona Department of Health Services officials to talk the latest on testing for coronavirus and our state and local response in Arizona. ‬Arizona is working around the clock to ramp up testing capabilities in our state. In the meantime, please contact your health care provider if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. I will continue to keep everyone updated.

TeleTown Hall with Senator McSally

Thank you to Senator Martha McSally for inviting me to join her telephone town hall. We spoke to over 8,000 Arizonans on Tuesday night! I will be hosting more telephone townhalls soon, so stay tuned for updates.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office because she was told that her health care exchange policy would be cancelled due to a Social Security number mismatch between the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This was an urgent situation because her doctors saw what they thought might be cancer. Social Security confirmed everything was correct on their end, so we reached out to HHS and requested a manager escalation to make sure the constituent would not lose her health care coverage. HHS then found the mismatch and corrected the issue, allowing the constituent to keep her coverage.

May God continue to bless you and our great Nation.

Sincerely,

Congresswoman Debbie Lesko
