Dear John,

As 2023 draws to a close, we wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support and dedication to ending gun violence in Black and brown communities.

Our thoughts continue to be with the families and communities tragically impacted by gun violence as the holidays are upon us. As we bid farewell to this year, we are resolute in our commitment to their memories and the urgency of our mission to end gun violence in our communities.

Key milestones of 2023 included:
* Substantial increases in funding for Comprehensive Violence Intervention (CVI) and other crucial violence prevention strategies. [[link removed]]
* The historic establishment of the White House Office of Violence Prevention, which is being co-led by our former Executive Director, Greg Jackson. [[link removed]]
* Celebrating the introduction of our 2023 Policymakers for Peace Class, spotlighting policymakers of color devoted to the fight against gun violence. [[link removed]]
* Expanding the presence of Black and brown advocates in key cities, counties, and states across the country. [[link removed]]
* Strengthening partnerships and engaging with influencers like Quavo, and participating in pivotal events like the Congressional Black Caucus panel and reception. [[link removed]]

2023 has been a landmark in our collective efforts against gun violence, but we know there is much more work to do. As we head into our 8th year as an organization, we look forward to working with you all for many years to come.
