This latest comment is as gross as it is unhinged, but Ted’s right about
one thing. Texans are pissed off and unhappy — and here’s why:

* When a winter storm left Texans all over the state without power or
heat in record low temperatures, Ted jetted off to Cancun to enjoy a
nice warm vacation.

* When a woman whose non-viable pregnancy was deemed a threat to her own
life was forced to flee to another state for the care she needed, Ted
ran away from reporters who asked him to comment — despite supporting
the very laws that caused this problem in the first place.

* While mass shootings continue to happen in Texas, Ted is raking in
money from the gun lobby and doing everything in his power to block
progress on common sense gun safety laws.

There are a hell of a lot more reasons than that — but suffice it to say
that Ted’s reasoning was just a little off.
