Thanks to the support of PFLAG National, we had an opportunity to address meaningful and caring questions about our life as a family — and Harleigh got to meet her idol, Laverne Cox — on a groundbreaking full-hour, transgender-focused episode of this daytime talk show. Every step of the way, PFLAG National showed up: securing interviews, preparing us for each conversation, and always having our backs when negative backlash on social media appeared. Today, Harleigh is a thriving teenager. She just got her driver’s license, enjoys being on the debate team, and had a blast at a Taylor Swift concert. I couldn’t be more proud of her. |
