I want to wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season, John.
As the year comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude for my friends and family, my neighbors and constituents in the 6th District, and for you, and all you do for our movement. Your dedication to making our country more equitable for all Americans gives me hope for the future.
We faced great challenges this year, but it’s important to recognize that we faced them together -- with the strength of our families and communities. That’s something worth celebrating this holiday season.
I want to end this email by sharing one of my favorite memories from this time of year: my late wife, Emily, and me at a holiday party at our alma mater, South Carolina State University, in 1960.
From my family to yours, I wish you a blessed holiday season.
Thank you,
Jim
