I know you’re probably eager to get your weekend started, and I am headed back to Connecticut to spend the holidays with my family as well. So I will keep this request short.

We’ve had a slower start to our fundraising this month than I had hoped. I get it. It’s a busy time, and a lot of people don’t like to think about politics around the holidays.

But I know things are going to get even tougher before the official FEC deadline on December 31, and I don’t want to bother you or reach out over the next few days while I’m trying to spend time with my family as well. So I’m hoping for a surge of donations today to get us back on track.

The magic of this campaign is if enough people give just what they can, then it adds up quickly. As you read this, someone else has already pitched in their donation, and another person is about to pitch in. Now they just need you to join them:

If you can spare a donation of any amount that makes sense for you today, please chip in. It will go a long way to ensure we don’t come up short.

I’m so grateful for the movement we’ve built. There are so many of us in this fight together. In fact, if everybody reading this right now gave just a little bit, we would actually hit our goal for the FEC deadline today.

That won’t happen of course. Not everyone can give every time I reach out, and I don’t expect that in the slightest. What makes this work is when everybody gives just a bit, when they can spare a donation.

If you’re able to give a bit today, then please consider it because it would mean the world to me.

When we win the fights ahead, it will be because all of us came together on days like today for a cause greater than any one of us.

Every best wish,

- Chris Murphy
