 Dear Friends-
I hope this finds you and your family well during this wonderful holiday season. In the blink of an eye, another year has come and gone for all of us. The end of the year brings with it the promise of a new one with renewed hopes, dreams, and aspirations for us all. I wanted to send you today?s message, wishing you well, but also to share my reflections on 2023 and what we can look forward to in 2024.
This year, we went through a lot, and for many of us, political issues continued to become more prominent in our daily lives?no matter what side of the aisle you?re on. My reflection is not about any issue, policy, or bill. It is about my experience serving our home and the message I found this past year.
Challenges seem to be all around us these days. No matter where we turn, we find a rising cost, a new need, or an emerging concern that needs attention. What I have discovered through countless emails, phone calls, meetings, or just conversations in passing?most people are filled with optimism.
I have discovered a deep energy and excitement for our home that can best be described by one word, hope. There is hope for the future of our community, towns, cities, schools, businesses, and families. We can all agree that there is no better time to share such a message, the one I have been experiencing firsthand through my interactions with you, than during the Holiday Season.
As we go about our family traditions, close out the year, and celebrate the holidays, let?s all take time to think about what we?re hopeful for in 2024. That has been my goal since returning from St. Paul in May and I have found it to have the power to unite us. All of us carry that hope inside.
Heading into 2024, I ask us all to use that hope. Let?s use it to unite to accomplish shared goals and dreams. Let?s realize that in hope, there is more that unites than divides us. That with this hope, we as families, friends, neighbors, and a community can accomplish great things for our home and region.
In closing, from my family to yours, I hope you and your family have a Happy Holidays, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! Thank you for the privilege to serve you at the Capitol in St. Paul. I hope you will share this message and join me in sharing hope for our future.
All the best,
Spencer
