Women escaping conflict or poverty are facing a new challenge.

As temperatures drop, women escaping conflict or poverty confront a new challenge: Winter.

Winter in AfghanistanWinter in Afghanistan

Like in Gaza, where winter is fast approaching and the weather is growing colder.

Women and girls are already facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis with conditions rife for a public health catastrophe.

  • A lack of food and water is now giving rise to malnutrition and dehydration
  • Waste is accumulating in the streets
  • Many have not changed their clothes for more than 45 days now
  • Due to the lack of space in shelters in the south, most displaced men and older boys are sleeping out in the open

With temperatures dropping as winter nears, we’re especially concerned about the well being of pregnant women and newborns with 180 women expected to give birth in Gaza every day.

Your gifts can deliver lifesaving care and basic essentials to the women and girls who need it most this season.

Will you make an emergency gift to deliver care to pregnant women and newborns in Gaza and other frigid crisis regions where temperatures are dropping?

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

Thank you for being there for every woman and girl, no matter what.
