John, it's Stefanie from Team Gillibrand. I just left a meeting with Kirsten where I had to tell her that we're still $4,186 short of our last goal before our final end-of-quarter push. 

Kirsten knows that hitting this goal is absolutely critical, so she asked me to reach out to our more reliable supporters to see if you can help her make up the gap before tonight's midnight deadline. You were at the top of that list, so please, will you chip in $5 before 11:59 p.m. to help Kirsten catch up? With the election year just over a week away, we can't afford to fall short here.

If you have a minute, will you let me explain why this goal is so important?

As you read this email, Mitch McConnell and his GOP operatives are poring over the Senate map. They know that flipping just one seat could hand them control of the chamber. And they're looking for any signs of weakness in Democratic incumbents like Kirsten.

If we give them even just the smallest sign that Kirsten could be vulnerable or might be lacking the resources she'll need to defend this seat, the GOP will not hesitate. Their far-right megadonors will flood New York with attack ads and baseless smears against Kirsten and President Biden. Especially given that New York could determine which party controls the House, we cannot let that happen.

After the ball drops, all of our fundraising numbers from 2023 will become public. We cannot let McConnell or his cronies see that we missed this goal. But we're running out of time to make up the gap. Please, will you rush a donation before tonight's midnight deadline to make sure that Kirsten can put up strong fundraising numbers at this critical moment?
