The total amount we raise is an important stat, to be sure, but I’ll really have my eye on something else:
The number of people who make a contribution.
Because the number of people who contribute — no matter the amount — demonstrates just how many people are still in this fight.
That number demonstrates the amount of people who are linking arms and fighting for the bold reforms our country needs — from taxing the rich so we can fund opportunity for all of our kids, to rooting corruption out of Washington so we can put our government on the side of working families.
With this final fundraising report of 2023, we’ve got one last chance to demonstrate the strength of our campaign as we head into 2024. And you don’t need me to tell you everything that’s on the line next year. The right to an abortion. The future of bedrock policies like Social Security and Medicare. Our democracy itself.
In the face of big threats, we can whimper. We can whine. Or we can fight back. Me? I’m fighting back. I’m running for re-election to hold the line against MAGA Republican extremists and make our country work for everyone, not just the rich and powerful. And I’m asking you to stay in the fight by my side.
If it makes sense for you right now, please chip in $28 or any amount to help win this re-election campaign and help put power in the hands of working people.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
