Hi there,
Already this August, Abby has been hard at work traveling the district to meet with local business owners, farmers, union members, and students.
In the last week, she's spent time at the Midwest School for Women Workers at the UI Labor Center. Her visit left her inspired and ready to continue fighting for working families just like her own. At the Mitchell County Fairgrounds, Abby met with 4-H and FFA kids about their hard work. In Cresco, she spoke with the greenhouse owners at Plantpeddler. This IA-01 mom-and-pop shop supplies plants to Disney -- fun fact! And in Decorah, Abby met with community leaders about how she can continue being an advocate for small businesses across the district.
Abby's calendar is jam-packed with meetings and visits with her constituents, because when she goes back to D.C., it's important to her that she brings real stories about what's happening at home and impacting the lives of Iowans.
