Hi John, how are you?

2024 is almost here and we’re officially about to be in one of the most important election years in our nation’s history.

So I thought this would be a good time to give you a quick update on my race. (If you can chip in before our end-of-year deadline to help us win one of the most competitive seats in the country, I’ll leave a link here [[link removed]] .)

My plans: Earlier this year, I decided not to run for the open Senate seat here in California. I truly believe that protecting my competitive House seat is the most important thing I can do to defend our democracy. So earlier this month, I filed for re-election here in California’s 9th district.

What’s been happening: This year, Republicans decided to target my district early by launching more than six figures in attacks against me and recruiting their “Dream Candidate” to run in my district. Since my opponent jumped into the race, pro-life Republicans have flooded his campaign with donations to make him the #2 GOP raiser in the entire country.

How we’re planning to fight back: With our March 5th election coming soon, we need to go on the offensive. That’s why we’re planning a huge get out the vote push including digital ads in English and Spanish! We’re also ramping up our field organizing to make sure people return their ballots in time.

Why I need help from this team: Our end-of-year deadline is almost here and we need to raise over $25,000 to accomplish these urgent priorities. I’m proud to still not accept a dime of corporate PAC money (even when others have gone back on the pledge), but that means I’m really counting on your support.
