MARCH ON is dedicated to increasing voter turnout and driving Democrats to the polls. Our data-driven solutions led the way for progressive victories in 2020 and 2022. Now, we're gearing up to stop Trump’s comeback in 2024.

Dear Friend,

2024 begins in a matter of days – and so does our work to power youth organizing movements nationwide and mobilize voters to the polls.

Our teams have worked on the front lines of progressive electoral victories since 2018 – and we’re ready to take on our biggest challenge yet in 2024.

But before we turn the page on 2023, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible progress we made this year, especially regarding abortion access in states facing extreme Republican bans.

Read our 2023 elections recap below – and then take two minutes to confirm that you’re registered to vote in the 2024 election, so we can build on our historic achievements of the past 6 years. >>

Dear Friend,

On Election Day, voters like you made your voices heard loud and clear: Abortion access is a fundamental right, and extreme bans on abortion will be rejected loudly by the people.

Pro-choice, progressive candidates and ballot issues succeeded in decisive swing-state races across the board. Here are our biggest takeaways from this year’s elections:

In Virginia, Democrats held the State Senate and flipped the House of Delegates blue to secure pro-choice majorities in both chambers of the state legislature. Now, Governor Glenn Youngkin’s far-right abortion ban has zero chance of becoming law, saving abortion access for millions of Virginians.

Del. Danica Roem and supporters celebrate her victory on election night. Roem is the first transgender candidate elected to the Virginia State Senate.

In Ohio, voters passed an amendment that enshrines abortion access in the state constitution, blocking extremist bans and restrictions on abortion across Ohio.

Ohio voters celebrate the passage of Issue 1 to protect abortion access statewide.

In Kentucky, Governor Andy Beshear won reelection over an extremist Republican who supported a ban on abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest. Now, abortion access could be expanded for millions of Kentuckians.

Gov. Andy Beshear celebrates his reelection in Kentucky.

And in Pennsylvania, Democrats expanded their majority on the state Supreme Court, ensuring that extreme abortion bans will not stand in the state.

Friend, if you voted in your local election this year, we thank you for exercising your right to vote and helping advance pro-choice, progressive policies.

At March On/Future Coalition, we’re preparing to launch key investments in Democratic voter turnout campaigns ahead of the 2024 elections – where we can take our fight for abortion access to national races and defeat anti-abortion extremism.
