John,
The climate crisis poses an existential threat to our nation and our planet. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the reality of climate change, from extreme drought and devastating wildfires in Washington, to historic heat waves across the Pacific Northwest.
Environmental action has been at the forefront of my work in public service, and I’ve brought that fight with me to Congress. From passing historic climate investments in the Inflation Reduction Act, to securing funding for Puget Sound restoration, and more, I’m proud of our progress. But there is much more work to be done.
As we continue adapting to the realities of climate change, I want to make sure our home state is prepared to mitigate disasters and build a cleaner, greener future for all of us.
I’m proud to support Washington Conservation Action because they are on the forefront of this fight in the Evergreen State – I hope you’ll join me. [[link removed]]
Through collaboration, innovation, and long-term commitment, WCA has long been a leader in pushing for climate conscious policy in our state that works for people and the planet.
This year, WCA’s advocacy was instrumental in the state legislature’s decision to dedicate funds to transitioning the energy, transportation, and irrigation services currently provided by the four aging dams on the lower Snake River – a huge step in salmon recovery, river restoration, and maintaining clean energy in the region.
Washington Conservation Action partners with local leaders and Tribal communities to ensure every voice is represented and that no one is left behind in the fight to protect our environment.
We must ensure WCA can continue this critical work – the future of our state depends on it. Please make a donation towards WCA’s end-of-year fundraising goal right away: [[link removed]]
