Join CLASP and FHI 360 Wednesday on April 1 at 3:00 PM EST for a webinar on supporting young adults with transformation, reentry, and connections to employment. We’ll be discussing how communities are connecting young adults who have been impacted by the criminal justice system to employment, education pathways, and supportive services.
Our new report, From Surviving to Thriving: Supporting Transformation, Reentry and Connections to Employment for Young Adults, features insights of best practices from nine communities that are part of the Compass Rose Collaborative (CRC). During this webinar, we’ll hear from practitoners and a program participant and learn how CRC is supporting young adults impacted by the criminal justice system. We will also uplift policy and systems considerations to address equity, collateral consequences, and opportunity.
Presenters will include:
- Kisha Bird, The Center for Law and Social Policy;
- Caitlin Dawkins, FHI 360;
- Lukee Forbes, City of Albany;
- Franco Vega, The RightWay Foundation, Los Angeles; and
- Galen Demas, KentuckianaWorks, Louisville.
April is Second Chance Month when partners across the nation highlight the need to address the barriers people impacted by the criminal justice system face in accessing opportunity. Throughout the month, CLASP will be working with our partners to uplift voices of those directly impacted and share solutions and best practices.
