Hi John,
The holidays are supposed to be a time to spend with family, to reflect on how grateful we are to have the things we do.
|
But having just gone through the 2nd anniversary of the mass shooting at my son's school, I know the holidays are sometimes a difficult reminder of who we've lost.
Meanwhile, the person we trusted to prevent tragedies like this is being rewarded by the same groups fighting against common-sense gun control laws.
Besides receiving a 92% rating from the National Rifle Association, and a 100% rating from Gun Owners of America, John James' indifference to our community's devastation and grief literally pays off – he's received hundreds of thousands of dollars from various gun groups over the course of his career.
As a mom, I can't stand idly by as DC politicians continue to put our kids' lives at risk.
That's why I'm running for office – I'm a Democrat ready to flip this seat and finally put our safety at the top of the priority list.
But I need your help to get my message to folks across Michigan's 10th District. Will you consider making a donation of any amount to help me and my team reach as many people as possible?

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.
The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.
Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.
Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.
She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
